Poseidon Moving is a professional moving company specializing in local, long distance, and interstate relocations for families and businesses across the United States. We’ve been doing this since 2004, and we’ve built our reputation one move at a time — on honesty, hard work, and doing right by every customer.

The moving industry has a reputation problem. Hidden fees, no-shows, damaged belongings, and crews that don’t care. We started this company specifically to be the opposite of that. Transparent pricing, trained full-time employees, modern equipment, and a commitment to treating every move — whether it’s a studio apartment or a corporate headquarters — like it matters. OUR STORY

Two College Students. One Truck.

Poseidon Moving started with two college students and a single moving truck. The idea was simple: make some extra money during the summer by helping people move. The work was hard, the hours were long, and the truck broke down more than it should have.

But customers kept coming back. They referred their friends. They trusted us with their most valuable belongings. What started as a side job became a real business — not because we had a grand plan, but because we showed up on time, treated people’s stuff like it was our own, and charged what we said we’d charge.

Over two decades, that one truck became a fleet. That two-person crew became a company of trained, full-time professionals. We went from Boston apartments to coast-to-coast relocations. Every milestone — the first fleet expansion, the first long distance move, the first 10,000 customers — was earned through the same approach: do good work, be honest, and take care of people.

Building access, elevator reservations, COI paperwork, parking permits, and scheduling are all handled before move day. If your building has rules, we know them in advance.

Final Walkthrough and Follow-Up

During move-out we can generally remove artwork, mounted TVs, and window ACs.

Additional cost applies on dismounting and mounting TV.
