Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

The following cancellation and rescheduling terms apply to all moving and storage services provided by Poseidon Moving Inc. These terms are part of the Service Agreement signed by the Client at the time of booking.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted to your assigned account manager by phone or email. Requests made directly to the moving crew on the day of the move will not be accepted as a cancellation or rescheduling request.

Intrastate (Local) Moves

A $200 deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable and serves as the cancellation fee.

Interstate (Long-Distance) Moves

A deposit equal to 10% of the quoted Flat Rate is required at the time of booking. In the event of cancellation, 50% of the deposit will be refunded to the Client. The remaining 50% is non-refundable and serves as the cancellation fee.

Example: If your quoted Flat Rate is $5,000, your deposit is $500. If you cancel, $250 will be refunded and $250 will be retained.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling is permitted without penalty as long as Poseidon Moving Inc. can accommodate the new date. We recommend requesting schedule changes as early as possible to ensure availability. Please note that pricing may be adjusted based on updated availability or seasonal demand.

Company-Initiated Cancellation

If Poseidon Moving Inc. initiates the cancellation for any reason, all funds paid by the Client will be refunded in full within twenty-one (21) business days from the date of cancellation.

Storage Cancellation

There are no refunds for cancellation of storage services. Upon cancellation, the Client must arrange for delivery of all Stored Items within forty-five (45) days. After this period, Poseidon Moving Inc. may dispose of the Stored Items in accordance with the Storage Agreement. All outstanding storage fees and charges must be paid in full before items can be released.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get my deposit back if I cancel?
For local moves, the $200 deposit is non-refundable. For long-distance moves, 50% of your deposit is refundable upon cancellation.

Is there a deadline to cancel?
There is no specific deadline, but we encourage you to notify us as early as possible so we can adjust our schedule accordingly.

What if I need to change my move date?
Rescheduling is free of charge as long as we can accommodate your new date. Contact your account manager to check availability.

What if Poseidon Moving cancels my move?
You will receive a full refund of all payments within twenty-one (21) business days.

What happens to my items in storage if I cancel?
You have forty-five (45) days to arrange delivery of your items. After that, Poseidon Moving Inc. may dispose of the items per the Storage Agreement. All outstanding fees must be paid before release.

During move-out we can generally remove artwork, mounted TVs, and window ACs.

Additional cost applies on dismounting and mounting TV.

Yes, our trucks are fully stocked with moving supplies and proper equipment you may need for your move.

If you are not fully packed/prepared for your move please let us know prior to your moving date and we’ll make sure our team has the necessary packing supplies to assist you.
