We wrap each piece in moving blankets and stretch wrap before it leaves the room, so it stays protected for the whole trip. Items included:

Our team handles furniture assembly and disassembly as part of your move. We take large pieces apart for transport, bag the hardware, tag it to the piece it came from, and put everything back together when we arrive. Items include:

Our trucks arrive stocked with the equipment needed to move your home safely, including dollies, straps, shrink wrap, furniture pads, and floor protection. We also provide five specialty moving boxes at no extra charge for your fragile, valuable, or awkwardly shaped items. Please order these before your move date so we can guarantee we have them on the truck.

Loading: Our team loads your items carefully, keeps the heavy pieces low, and straps everything down so nothing shifts while we drive.

Unloading: When we arrive, we unwrap your items, place them where you want them, and make sure everything is set up before we leave.

Your rate covers all of the transportation costs for your move. This includes:

Every move includes basic valuation coverage at $0.60 per pound per item, which follows federal moving regulations. If you want more than the standard reimbursement, we can go over the higher valuation options with you before your move date.

A few local details make the difference between a smooth Rhode Island move and a stressful one, and the good news is most of them can be sorted a week ahead.

  • Parking and Truck Access

    Every town plays by its own rules. In Providence, the Traffic Engineering Division will post Emergency No Parking Tow Zone signs so your truck has a reserved spot at the curb; you’ll need to apply at least two business days ahead, and metered spaces carry a small daily fee.     When the colleges come back, parking and elevators in Kingston, Providence, and Bristol get crowded fast. The dates shift every year and differ by school: URI’s 2026 fall move-in ran over the first weekend of September, while Brown gives new and returning students separate arrival dates. Peek at your school’s housing calendar before you pick a date, and you’ll dodge the rush.

  • Coastal and Winter Weather

    Moving during hurricane season or a nor’easter? Check the forecast and the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency’s guidance on coastal flooding and winter storms. If something is tracking toward your date, give us a call early so we can adjust the plan instead of scrambling.

We can’t carry hazardous items like propane tanks, gasoline, paint thinner, fireworks, or open chemicals, and we ask you to keep cash, jewelry, medications, and important documents with you. Plants and perishable food ride along in your car too. Feeling snacky on the road? That’s exactly where the groceries belong.
Piano? Safe? Home gym? Just let your coordinator know when you request your quote. We’ll bring extra crew or specialty equipment as needed and build it into your estimate, so there’s nothing added on moving day.
Life happens. Call your coordinator as soon as you know. Date changes with reasonable notice get rescheduled at no charge, subject to availability; changes inside the notice window may carry a fee, and we’ll explain it before you confirm the new date.

Every piece is carefully prepared before it’s moved. Our crews use heavy duty moving blankets, stretch wrap, floor protection, and proven loading techniques to help prevent scratches, dents, and shifting during transport.

If you have antiques, artwork, glass, marble, or other high-value items, we can recommend additional protection options such as custom crating or White Glove service.

Yes. For safety reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials or certain restricted items. These are commonly referred to as “non-allowable items.”

This includes:

  • •Propane tanks, gasoline, kerosene, and lighter fluid
  • •Paint, aerosols, household cleaners, and other hazardous chemicals
  • •Fireworks, ammunition, matches, and charcoal
