We conduct a virtual or in-person walkthrough of your home, cataloging every item and noting access conditions at both locations. You receive a binding quote before any commitment. Your dedicated move coordinator confirms dates, arranges access, and stays in contact through every milestone.

On move day, our crew handles professional packing, wrapping, crating, and loading using materials matched to the distance. Once the truck departs, you have visibility into its location and expected arrival. At your destination, we unload, unwrap, reassemble, and place every piece according to your instructions. A final walkthrough confirms everything arrived in the condition it left.

No two moves are identical, which is why blanket pricing rarely reflects what you’ll actually pay. A 500-mile move between neighboring states costs less than a 2,500-mile coast-to-coast relocation.

Binding Estimate

Your price is based on the services and listed items in your agreement. Even if your shipment is heavier or takes up more space, the price stays the same. No surprises from you, no surprises from us.

GOLD STANDARD

Binding Not-to-Exceed

Your price is locked and won’t increase even if the shipment exceeds the original projection. But if the actual shipment comes in lighter, you only pay the actual cost. You could end up paying less than originally agreed.

Our crew packs your entire home from top to bottom. Every drawer, closet, shelf, and cabinet. Includes all materials, labeling, furniture disassembly, and custom crating for fragile or high-value items.

Partial Packing

You handle the straightforward items like clothes, books, and linens. We take care of the kitchen, glassware, electronics, and anything that requires professional wrapping or crating.

TARGETED

Fragile-Only Packing

Focused exclusively on items with the highest breakage risk: china, crystal, artwork, mirrors, flat-screen TVs, and similar pieces. You pack the rest yourself.

Liability note: Items you pack yourself are generally not covered under carrier liability for damage caused by packing quality. Items packed by our crew are fully covered under the valuation option you select.

Interstate Moving Questions Answered

An interstate move specifically means crossing state lines, which triggers federal DOT regulation regardless of distance. A long distance move is a broader term that can include moves over 100 miles within the same state. All interstate moves are long distance, but not all long distance moves are interstate. The distinction matters because interstate moves require FMCSA-authorized carriers with federal operating authority.

Ask for the company’s USDOT number and look it up on the FMCSA website (safer.fmcsa.dot.gov). The listing will show whether their operating authority is active, whether they carry the required insurance, and whether any complaints or safety violations have been filed. If a company can’t provide a DOT number or their authority shows as inactive, don’t hire them.

Yes. We understand that timelines shift, especially during interstate relocations where housing closings, lease dates, and job start dates don’t always align. Contact your coordinator as early as possible and we’ll work to accommodate the change without rebooking fees. Flexibility is part of the service, not an exception to it.

Federal law requires interstate movers to offer two levels of liability coverage. Released value protection is included at no additional cost and covers items at $0.60 per pound per article. Full-value protection is available at an additional cost and requires the carrier to repair, replace, or reimburse the current market value of any item damaged during the move. We recommend full-value protection for any shipment containing high-value or irreplaceable items.

Federal regulations prohibit interstate carriers from transporting hazardous materials including gasoline, propane, aerosols, paint, ammunition, fireworks, and pesticides. Perishable food, plants, and live animals also cannot be loaded on the truck. Your coordinator provides a complete prohibited items list during the planning phase so you have time to make alternative arrangements.

Yes, but we are not liable for those items unless they’re properly reported item by item.

During move-out we can generally remove artwork, mounted TVs, and window ACs.

Additional cost applies on dismounting and mounting TV.
