Every college move with Poseidon includes furniture wrapping, disassembly and reassembly of bed frames, desks, and shelving, careful loading, transport, and placement in your dorm or apartment. Add professional packing if you want us to box everything before loading.

If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance, we issue those in advance. Need to hold belongings between semesters? Our storage facilities keep your stuff safe over summer or winter break. Just need muscle for loading and unloading? Our labor only option covers that.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

All furniture is wrapped in moving blankets and secured with stretch wrap before loading. Floor runners protect hallways and common areas in residence halls. Items covered:

Lofted beds, futon frames, modular desks, and shelving units that won’t fit through dorm doorways assembled get taken apart on-site and put back together at the destination. Hardware is bagged and labeled so nothing gets lost between locations.

We research parking options, secure city permits when required, and confirm elevator schedules and building access rules for your specific campus and residence hall before move day. If your school has assigned move-in time slots, we build our schedule around yours.

Everything is loaded strategically, transported securely, and carried to your exact room — whether that’s a ground-floor suite or a fifth-floor walk-up. Boxes and furniture are placed where you want them so you can start unpacking immediately.

Every college move includes basic liability coverage at $0.60 per pound per item. Your belongings are protected from the moment we start loading through final placement in your dorm or apartment.

Any items that can't be moved or illegal to move?

“Non-allowable” is an industry term for hazardous items professional movers will not transport and are those generally considered explosive, flammable or corrosive.

Please do not ask our team to move living organisms such as plants, fish, pets…

Can jewelry and other valuables be moved?

Yes, but we are not liable for those items unless they’re properly reported item by item.

Can you take down/hang my art work, TV, AC...

During move-out we can generally remove artwork, mounted TVs, and window ACs.

Additional cost applies on dismounting and mounting TV.

Do you have moving supplies/equipment on the truck?

Yes, our trucks are fully stocked with moving supplies and proper equipment you may need for your move.
